The TOP 5 reasons why YOU should hate taxes!

#5 YOU Should hate taxes, if you haven't taken the time to research what taxes pay for, and how they can benefit you and your America..

#4 YOU should hate taxes, if you choose to allow someone else to figure it out for you.. Do you do this in the store when its time to pay? Do you just hand the cashier your wallet to figure out what they get? No you provide just enough in hopes he can hand you the proper refund.. Aka change

#3 YOU should hate taxes, if you refuse to learn about the purpose of tax preparation, even though it affects Your finances. Don't you review a receipt any other time..? When your yearly income receipt comes in a 3-4 page form it should be reviewed just as closely. The longer the receipt from Walmart that indicates the more important the purchase correct? So when you get home with a 5 ft receipt there better be a trunk full ( That's why a lot of us ladies go broke about Target .. $89 in 1 bag, smh) Review your taxes just as closely, you deserve it!

#2 YOU Should hate taxes, if you listen to what others say about taxes and believe them vs reading about it for yourself.. And then you wonder why your refund is so small or wondering why you owe?.. If you got a bill instead of a paycheck you'd search high and low for those answers..

#1 You should hate taxes, if you're mad at the government for being in debt yet feel as though you "shouldn't pay so much...". Maybe BECAUSE YOU , and everyone else feel that they "shouldn't pay as much" is why you in return pay less..or not at all And that is why we're in debt..

As a matter of fact some of you who clicked on this, may owe, or may have had a problem with your taxes in the past.. And were looking for yet another excuse as to WHY You " should " hate taxes..
But I flipped it and told you, why YOU actually hate taxes.

We have to be accountable people .. Within the question lies the problem..

For example if you were broke you'd ask yourselves " Why am I, broke?"
Look at that comma.. You're pausing and reflecting on the wrong part it should be
" Why, am I broke?..

Ask yourself "Why, do I HATE TAXES... "
vs " Why do I hate, Taxes"
WELL why do you?
Does it have to do with YOU ?
Absolutely..

Change your perspectives sometimes.. Don't get me wrong .. You may not LIKE some things, and may not LIKE those tax amounts .. that's a human emotion...

But half of the time we just hate the things we don't understand..
There are some people that want to help you understand..Their # is 1800-829-1040
Do you know after working call sites for tax customers, My best calls were the ones where people WANTED to understand, Wanted help, and Wanted to learn.. Vs the ones who called to tell me what they thought.. Or what they heard ... Or who else they know got more of a refund or less of a balance..

If someone text you and told you GameStop had PS3 games for $10 .. Would you go there pick up 5& hand the man a $50 hoping to leave owing no extra.. Or would you call first... ?

Just sayin..

Upcoming Initiatives:  BigBonedBarbie Snacks for the Homeless..
Everybody loves a home cooked meal, but I like a snack here and there too..
We're thinking outside of the box, and we want to do something different.
Every 1st Sunday beginning April 7, 2013 after you receive communion, come on out and feed others.
We will be passing out non parishable snacks at Festival Park- from 1-3pm(  Directly across fromthe VCU ENgineering building. You literally pullup a block before the Mosque, and park (its free on Sundays)
 Bring what you can, and join in for a few moments of Community Service.After you pass out what you bring, network with other givers, Then we all go home.. Nothing making you stay, just taking a few moments doing something for others AND with the family.
Snack ideas: (Act like youre packing your kid a lunch for a field trip)
*Capri Suns , Hugs,  Doritos, Cheetos, Funyons, Granola bars, Generic, Brand name, that easy mac you'll never eat, that can of ravioli you hate, the banannas you saw on sale whatever you can spare.
If you can't afford it.. can you show up and help me get what I have out of my car?
 Every little bit counts.(In the future we want to upgrade and give away Subway gift cards..the homeless deserve a $3 sandwich dont they !!If God allows it .. it will be done ..)

Restore thy soul...

Sooo. This week on the adventures of Cara and TJ ..
I got flowers this week! Not a dozen roses but 2 buttercups, remember those? Well one I got after a workout. TJ & I had just gotten home after a family hour at the track , and he still needed to walk the dog. When he returned he bought me a buttercup and said this is just for you .. I had a half of bottle of water, I didn't want to drink anyway ( don't judge me I'm still struggling with the minimum water requirements.. Another blog story) so I stuck the buttercup in and faced it towards the window.. knowing internally that because I took the time it would thrive...
The next day I was up an at em. Busy all day, I commute to DC, so my energy is minimal after work.. I try o meditate on the van but 95 isnt exactly smooth & peaceful Well at some point after getting home I got a flower and didn't even remember the conversation.
By the time I got a chance to appreciate it the moment it was gone..the flower still in the same place where I received it.. Left right there it died on the kitchen table. I still stick it in the water hoping to bring it back.. & restore thy soul if you will in efforts to prove I really did love the flower and really did appreciated the moment But just like the flower the moment Died as well , it was gone...

Look at my demeanor at both times I received the gift.. One was after I had exercised, and was living fully taking in all breaths of life being in the moment, & breathing deeply, even though it was after an hour of being out of breath from walking 4 miles... I was at a peaceful place. The next time I received this gift I was in a rush, accomplishing tasks but not applying 100% effort in every breath of life.. And look at the result..

We absolutely need to use this day and everyday to give to not only others but ourselves. Because when its time to take care of he others, we will miss the momet if we're not 100% there .. & When we realize it it will be too late..

I'm talking about buttercups, but apply that to all areas of life.. The analogy fits.. My son picked this flower out of the ground and gave it to me in hopes I would in return give it life.. And one moment I failed, one I didn't..

I guess some is better than none... But why not be 2 for 2 when we can...
Everybody think back this week alone.. how many dead buttercups do you have?
How many alive and thriving ones do you have.. If you have some dead ones.. Maybe they're not dead yet.. Just like I'm trying to restore thy soul of my dead buttercup, you do the same it may not be too late.. Call back the friend you said you were gonna call back, visit the person it was too late to see the other day, thank that person who you haven't repaid yet..

And if all of your buttercups are alive this week.. You can still learn too!! Use this story so that you don't miss your next buttercup..

Kid returns sticks.. How it all happened Yosemite National Park

'Kids mom probably found the sticks in her pocket about to laundry, and yelled out
"Lil Girl, you keep puttin things like sticks in your pocket all ya clothes gonna have holes in it, come get this & throw this mess away"
child runs in
"MOM Theeeeeeeeeessssse are important sticks"

Mom looks at girl like the maid on the Jeffersons
"Girl throw that lil mess away.. Or just throw em outside - put things back where u get them from".

The little girl had an "Ah ha moment- as Oprah says- runs upstairs to her moms room- with sticks in hand grabs an envelope , a pencil, a notebook and top end of the bright blue permission slip with the bottom torn off .. Last week she turned that part in with a crisp $5 payment from Dad. Her eyes scan the paper to find out the exact address of Yosemite National Park -where she was on that school field trip...
